🧬 Overview
The Yellow Fluorescent Trachyphyllia Aussie is a premium-grade brain coral sourced from the pristine reefs of Australia. Its oversized fleshy polyp, vibrant golden-yellow colouration, and gentle rhythmic expansion make it a captivating focal point in any reef. In addition to its beauty, it’s hardy and well-suited for a variety of systems, provided it’s given stable parameters and a calm environment.

πŸ“Έ Photos shown are of similar specimens to the one you will receive at home β€” natural variation in colour, pattern, and size will occur.

🍽️ Care & Feeding
While photosynthetic, Trachyphyllia thrive with supplemental feeding 1–2 times per week. Offer small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, or finely chopped seafood directly onto the polyp when tentacles are extended (often after lights-out). This promotes faster growth, richer colouration, and long-term health.

πŸ“ˆ Optimal Parameters

  • Alkalinity (dKH): 8–11

  • Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm

  • Magnesium (Mg): 1250–1350 ppm

  • Nitrate (NO₃): 2–10 ppm

  • Phosphate (POβ‚„): 0.01–0.05 ppm

πŸ“ Placement
Always place on the sandbed in an area with low, indirect flow to avoid tissue damage. Avoid contact with sharp rock or other corals. Blue-rich lighting will maximise its fluorescent glow.
