🍽️ Care & Feeding

Both Rasta Zoanthids and Red People Eaters are primarily photosynthetic, obtaining much of their energy through their symbiotic algae.

Direct feeding is generally unnecessary, although occasional broadcast feeding with fine particulate coral foods, rotifers or appropriately sized zooplankton may provide additional nutrition.

Red People Eaters may also accept small, appropriately sized meaty foods, although supplemental feeding is not essential.

Maintain stable water parameters and moderate nutrient availability to encourage healthy polyp extension, coloration and colony development.

Provide gentle to moderate indirect water movement to prevent detritus from accumulating between the polyps.

As the colony develops, monitor the growth of both varieties, as one morph may expand more quickly and gradually occupy space used by the other.
