TC Reefculture PARwise & PARwise PRO – PAR & Spectrum Meters

💡🪸 Measure. Understand. Optimise your reef lighting.

The ITC Reefculture PARwise and PARwise PRO are advanced underwater light meters designed specifically for reef aquariums, allowing you to measure the actual light reaching your corals.

Rather than relying on light intensity settings or visual appearance, PARwise allows you to measure directly at coral level – helping you optimise coral placement, light intensity, spectrum and photoperiod.

Choose between the PARwise, ideal for complete everyday reef lighting analysis, or the more advanced PARwise PRO, which adds expanded spectral analysis and cPUR – Coral Photosynthetically Usable Radiation.

🔹 PARwise

The original PARwise combines a PAR meter and spectral analyser in one compact, fully submersible device.

It measures:

• PAR / PPFD – Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density
• Spectrum – 380–800 nm
• Kelvin – Colour temperature
• LUX
• DLI – Daily Light Integral
• Peak Wavelength
• Hue / Colour

This gives reef keepers much more information than a conventional PAR meter, allowing you to understand both the quantity and spectral composition of the light reaching your corals.

Perfect for checking coral placement, mapping PAR throughout the aquarium, comparing lighting programmes and adjusting intensity as corals acclimate and grow.

🔬 PARwise PRO

For reef keepers looking for even deeper lighting analysis, PARwise PRO expands the capabilities of the original PARwise.

The PRO measures:

• PAR / PPFD
• cPUR – Coral Photosynthetically Usable Radiation
• Extended Spectrum – 350–1100 nm
• Kelvin
• LUX
• DLI – Daily Light Integral
• cPUR Light Integral
• YPF
• CRI – Colour Rendering Index
• CQS – Colour Quality Scale
• Purity
• Dominant Wavelength
• CIE X/Y

🪸 What is cPUR?

PAR tells you how many photosynthetically active photons are reaching a coral, but it does not fully describe how useful the spectral composition of that light is to the coral.

cPUR – Coral Photosynthetically Usable Radiation takes spectral quality into account, evaluating light against wavelengths associated with coral photosynthesis and pigmentation.

This allows PARwise PRO to provide a more coral-specific assessment of your lighting rather than relying on PAR alone.

Its expanded 350–1100 nm spectral range also allows analysis from near UV-A through the visible spectrum and into infrared.

Which one should you choose?

💡 Choose PARwise if you want an excellent all-round tool for measuring PAR, analysing your spectrum and optimising coral placement and aquarium lighting.

🔬 Choose PARwise PRO if you want the most detailed analysis possible, particularly for SPS-dominated systems, coral farms, advanced reef aquariums or detailed comparison and optimisation of lighting systems.

🔹 Smart, Simple & Fully Submersible

Both PARwise models can be placed directly beside the coral you want to measure, giving you the actual lighting conditions at that exact position in your aquarium.

They connect via USB to compatible Android devices, Windows PCs and Macs, with measurements displayed through the PARwise web application.

⚠️ Please note: PARwise and PARwise PRO are currently not compatible with iPhone or iPad.
