💚🪸 Acropora tenuis “Emerald Pulse”
WYSIWYG Specimen – Neon Green Tenuis Acropora
🔹 Quick Stats
Care Level: Advanced
Temperament: Peaceful (requires spacing from neighbouring SPS colonies)
Colour Form: The Emerald Pulse Tenuis displays a vibrant neon-green base coloration across its branching structure with lighter lime-green growth tips. Under actinic lighting the coral glows with intense fluorescent green while the polyps create a lively shimmering texture across the branches. Under balanced white lighting the coral reveals rich emerald and lime tones that highlight the natural structure of the tenuis growth pattern.
Water Conditions: 24–26 °C, dKH 7.5–8.5, pH 8.0–8.4, sg 1.024–1.026
Family: Acroporidae
Lighting: High (PAR 250–350)
Water Flow: Strong, random and turbulent
Placement: Upper rockwork
Type: WYSIWYG
🧬 Overview
The Acropora tenuis “Emerald Pulse” is a vibrant SPS coral featuring the classic tenuis branching structure combined with bright neon-green pigmentation. Acropora tenuis corals are highly valued in SPS reef aquariums due to their strong colour expression, dense branching growth and active polyp extension.
This morph produces a glowing green presence in reef systems, particularly under blue-spectrum reef lighting where the coral becomes intensely fluorescent. As the colony grows, the tips highlight new branch development while the base maintains a deep emerald tone, creating a vivid natural contrast.
Its bright green coloration makes it an excellent contrast coral when placed among pink, red or blue Acropora varieties.
WYSIWYG:
You will receive the exact coral shown in the photo. Each specimen is individually photographed and selected for colour saturation, structural form and coral health.
Selected for:
• Strong neon-green coloration
• Classic Acropora tenuis branching structure
• Healthy tissue and active growth tips
• Excellent polyp extension
• Proven colour response under reef LED lighting
🍽️ Care & Feeding
Like most Acropora tenuis, Emerald Pulse thrives in nutrient-balanced SPS systems and benefits from occasional feeding.
Recommended feeding 1–2× weekly:
• Amino acids
• Fine planktonic coral foods
• SPS blends / reef snow
• Broadcast feeding in mature reef systems
📈 Optimal Parameters
Parameter | Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) | 7.5–8.5
Calcium (Ca) | 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) | 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) | 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) | 0.03–0.10 ppm
📍 Placement
Place in high light and strong chaotic flow to maintain strong green fluorescence and compact branch development.
Allow sufficient spacing from neighbouring SPS colonies to prevent shading and support natural growth.
