⚡💛🧡🪸 Acropora sp. “Australian Pikachu” – WYSIWYG
Australian Collector Acropora – Electric Yellow & Orange SPS

🔹 Quick Stats
Care Level: Advanced
Temperament: Peaceful
Colour Form: Intense electric/neon yellow coloration combined with warm golden-orange to orange highlights, particularly around the corallites and growth areas. Under actinic lighting, the yellow develops exceptional fluorescence, while a more balanced spectrum reveals additional gold, lime and warm orange tones. The Australian trade also uses “Aussie Pikachu” for this collector morph.
Origin: Australia
Water Conditions: 24–26 °C, dKH 7.5–8.5, pH 8.0–8.4, sg 1.024–1.026
Family: Acroporidae
Lighting: High (PAR 250–400)
Water Flow: Strong, random and turbulent
Placement: Upper reef
Type: WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)

🧬 Overview
The Australian Pikachu Acropora is a spectacular collector SPS selected for its unmistakable electric-yellow coloration and warm orange/golden contrast.

Its intensely fluorescent yellow tissue gives this coral the characteristic “Pikachu” appearance. Depending on spectrum and intensity, additional lime, gold and orange tones become visible throughout the branches and corallites, creating significantly more depth than a conventional yellow Acropora.

High, stable lighting is particularly important for bringing out the intense coloration associated with Pikachu Acropora. Strong random flow and exceptionally stable water chemistry are equally important for maintaining healthy tissue, polyp extension and compact growth.

This particular piece is WYSIWYG and Australian sourced, making it an excellent choice for SPS collectors looking for an individually selected specimen rather than a generic frag.

🧾 WYSIWYG – Australian Specimen
You will receive the exact specimen shown in the photographs.

Selected for:
• Australian origin
• Explosive electric-yellow coloration
• Warm gold and orange highlights
• Exceptional fluorescence under blues
• Beautiful branching structure
• Strong colour contrast
• Collector-grade Pikachu appearance
• High-impact SPS coloration
• Exact WYSIWYG specimen

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Acropora are primarily photosynthetic and perform best with strong lighting, powerful random flow and extremely stable water chemistry.

Recommended support:
• Stable nitrate and phosphate availability
• Amino acid supplementation
• Fine particulate SPS foods
• Consistent alkalinity, calcium and magnesium
• Strong multidirectional water movement

Acropora are best suited to established reef systems; stability, particularly alkalinity stability, is one of the most important factors for long-term success.

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) 7.5–8.5
Calcium (Ca) 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) 2–10 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) 0.02–0.08 ppm

📍 Placement
Place in the upper areas of the reef under strong, stable lighting and powerful turbulent flow. Avoid a constant direct jet; multidirectional/random circulation around the branches is preferable.

Gradual light acclimation is recommended before exposing a new specimen to maximum PAR. Once established under suitable conditions, strong lighting helps maintain the intense yellow coloration for which Pikachu Acropora are selected.
