🟡🪸 Acropora microclados “Wolverine Wild” – Toxic Yellow
WYSIWYG Specimen – Toxic Yellow Microclados Acropora

🔹 Quick Stats
Care Level: Advanced
Temperament: Peaceful (requires spacing from neighbouring SPS colonies)
Colour Form: The Wolverine Wild Microclados displays intense toxic-yellow tissue across its slender branches with bright neon-yellow growth tips. Under actinic lighting the coral glows with an electric fluorescent yellow that appears almost radioactive, while the polyps add fine texture across the branch surfaces. Under balanced white lighting the colony reveals vibrant tones of lemon yellow, acid yellow and soft golden highlights that intensify toward the growth tips.
Water Conditions: 24–26 °C, dKH 7.5–8.5, pH 8.0–8.4, sg 1.024–1.026
Family: Acroporidae
Lighting: High (PAR 250–350)
Water Flow: Strong and turbulent
Placement: Upper rockwork or high-energy reef zones
Type: WYSIWYG

🧬 Overview
The Acropora microclados “Wolverine Wild” – Toxic Yellow is a striking SPS coral prized for its extremely bright yellow pigmentation and elegant microclados branching structure. This species forms relatively thin branches with pronounced axial tips and fine coralite texture, giving the colony a refined and dynamic appearance.

Its toxic yellow coloration makes it stand out dramatically in SPS-dominated reef aquariums, especially when placed near darker or cooler-toned corals such as blue, purple or deep red Acropora varieties.

Under strong reef LED lighting the coral develops an intense fluorescent glow that can appear almost electric during actinic viewing periods.

As the colony matures, the slender branches form an intricate network that adds brightness and visual movement to the reef aquascape.

WYSIWYG:
You will receive the exact coral shown in the photo. Each specimen is individually photographed and selected for colour saturation, structure and coral health.

Selected for:
• Intense toxic-yellow coloration
• Elegant microclados branching structure
• Healthy tissue and visible growth tips
• Strong fluorescence under reef LED lighting
• Excellent colour contrast for SPS reef displays

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Like most Acropora species, Wolverine Wild relies primarily on photosynthesis but benefits from stable nutrient levels and occasional coral feeding.

Recommended feeding 1–2× weekly:
• Fine plankton blends or powdered coral foods
• Amino acid supplements for SPS systems
• Broadcast feeding in mature reef aquariums

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter | Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) | 7.5–8.5
Calcium (Ca) | 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) | 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) | 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) | 0.03–0.10 ppm

📍 Placement
Place in the upper aquascape where strong lighting and turbulent water flow are present. Acropora microclados thrives in high-energy reef zones where strong flow promotes healthy growth and helps maintain vibrant coloration.

Allow sufficient spacing between neighbouring SPS colonies to support natural branch development.
