🧬 Overview
The Solar Eclipse Beige Trachyphyllia is a collector-grade open brain coral prized for its natural elegance and striking central contrast. The dark halo against the creamy-beige background creates a focal point that draws the eye without overpowering the layout.

Its thick, inflated tissue, wide oral disc and clean colour separation make it ideal for high-end sandbed displays, minimalist aquascapes and negative-space designs.

Each specimen is selected for:

  • Clean beige base with defined dark central halo

  • Thick, fleshy tissue and strong inflation

  • Symmetrical shape and healthy oral disc

  • Proven stability and acclimation in reef conditions

A premium option for reefers who appreciate natural tones, structure and refined contrast over loud colours.

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Trachyphyllia respond very well to target feeding and will show improved inflation, colour depth and growth.

Feed 1–2× weekly with:

  • Mysis, chopped shrimp, krill

  • LPS pellets

  • Meaty frozen blends

Best fed after lights out for maximum feeding response.

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) 7.5–9
Calcium (Ca) 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) 0.05–0.15 ppm

📍 Placement
Place directly on the sandbed, away from rockwork to avoid tissue damage.
Ensure gentle, indirect flow so the tissue can fully inflate without disturbance.

Pairs beautifully with:

  • Gold & Grey, Orange & Blue, and Ultra Orange Yumas

  • Acanthastrea and Micromussa

  • Chalices with dark bases

  • Euphyllia gardens as a soft visual anchor
