Toxic Yellow Elegance Coral – Neon Yellow Flesh with Jet Black Striping (Ultra Grade · WYSIWYG)

🔹 Quick Stats
Care Level: Moderate
Temperament: Semi-aggressive (sweeper tentacles)
Colour Form: Toxic Venom Stripes is an ultra high-end Catalaphyllia displaying an intense toxic neon yellow base overlaid with deep jet-black striping and veins radiating through the tissue. Under blue lighting, the yellow fluoresces violently while the black stripes remain sharp and defined; under whites, the structure and patterning stay crisp and high-contrast.

Water Conditions: 24–26 °C, dKH 7.5–9, pH 8.0–8.4, sg 1.024–1.026
Family: Euphylliidae
Lighting: Low to Moderate (PAR 60–120)
Water Flow: Low, gentle, indirect
Placement: Sandbed or low rock ledges
Type: Ultra Grade · WYSIWYG Colony

🧬 Overview
The Toxic Venom Stripes Catalaphyllia is a collector-grade Elegance coral prized for its extreme colour contrast and rare black striping expression. True black patterning on a toxic yellow base is exceptionally uncommon, making this piece a statement predator on the sandbed.

Its long, flowing tentacles, heavy tissue mass and aggressive colour pattern give it both elegance and menace — soft movement with hard attitude.

Each WYSIWYG colony is selected for:

  • True toxic yellow base (no cream, no green wash)

  • Clearly defined jet-black stripes / veins

  • Thick, fleshy tissue and strong extension

  • Full inflation and healthy oral disc

  • Proven stability and acclimation in reef conditions

A premium option for reefers who want maximum contrast, rarity and visual aggression in their LPS collection.

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Catalaphyllia respond extremely well to direct feeding and will grow larger and more colourful with regular nutrition.

Feed 1–2× weekly with:

  • Mysis, chopped shrimp, krill

  • LPS pellets

  • Meaty frozen blends

Target feed after lights out for best feeding response.

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) 7.5–9
Calcium (Ca) 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) 0.05–0.15 ppm

📍 Placement
Place on the sandbed or a low, flat rock, with gentle, indirect flow.
Leave ample space from other corals due to long sweeper tentacles.

Pairs insanely well with:

  • Warpaint Trachyphyllia

  • Deadpool Blastomussa

  • Toxic Green Rhodactis

  • Ultra Orange / Gold & Grey Yumas

  • Euphyllia gardens as contrast anchors
