🧬 Overview
The Vampire in Drag Zoanthus is a highly distinctive collector morph recognized for its unusual combination of purple, pink-red and metallic blue coloration surrounding a prismatic multicolour ring.
The centre begins with rich purple tones, followed by a vivid pink-to-red area. One of the defining characteristics of this morph is the transition towards the outside of the polyp, where orange, yellow and teal pigments blend into an almost rainbow-like ring.
This is bordered by a beautiful light metallic blue to turquoise outer band, giving Vampire in Drag its unmistakable layered appearance. This combination of purple, warm rainbow tones and cool metallic blue is also consistent with descriptions of the established morph from specialist coral vendors.
Under blue-heavy reef lighting, the warmer pigments develop strong fluorescence while the blue and teal areas become particularly vivid, producing an impressive contrast across the entire polyp.

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Vampire in Drag Zoanthus is primarily photosynthetic and performs well in established reef aquariums. Moderate indirect flow helps prevent detritus accumulation, while occasional fine particulate coral foods may support growth and colony development.
📍 Placement
Place in the lower to middle areas of the reef under low to moderate lighting. Gradual acclimation is recommended when introducing the frag to stronger illumination.

Zoanthids may contain palytoxin or related compounds. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling or fragging, avoid contact with the eyes and mouth, and never boil, steam or expose the colony to very hot water.
