🧬 Overview
The Rainbow Hornet Zoanthus is a highly attractive collector morph prized for its distinctive combination of multiple fluorescent colours arranged in contrasting rings.
Its polyps display rich purple and violet pigmentation, complemented by bright yellow-green and blue details that become particularly intense under actinic reef lighting.
The characteristic Hornet-style pattern creates excellent visual contrast, while the combination of warm and cool colours makes Rainbow Hornets particularly attractive when grown alongside orange, red or green Zoanthus varieties.
As the frag establishes and spreads, it can develop into a spectacular multi-polyp colony with increasingly impressive colour and pattern.

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Rainbow Hornet Zoanthus is primarily photosynthetic and performs well in established reef aquariums. Moderate indirect flow helps prevent detritus from accumulating between the polyps, while occasional fine particulate coral foods may support growth.
📍 Placement
Place in the lower to middle areas of the reef under low to moderate lighting. Gradual acclimation is recommended when introducing the frag to stronger illumination.
⚠️ Handling
Zoanthids may contain palytoxin or related compounds. Wear gloves and eye protection when handling or fragging, avoid contact with the eyes and mouth, and never boil, steam or expose the colony to very hot water.
