🧬 Overview
The Acanthastrea bowerbanki “Ruby Monarch” is a beautiful LPS coral known for its strong red coloration and large fleshy polyps. Bowerbanki corals are appreciated for their massive polyp size and thick tissue, giving them a bold and impressive appearance in reef aquariums.
This specimen displays a deep ruby-red palette that becomes especially striking under reef LED lighting. The natural shading between the ridges of the coral adds depth and texture to the colony, creating a powerful monochromatic look.
When fully expanded, the coral forms large fleshy discs that create a strong visual presence in mixed reef or LPS-dominated aquariums.
As the colony grows, additional polyps develop around the base forming a larger fleshy cluster.
