🧬 Overview
The Ash Pearl Yuma is a refined and elegant morph of Ricordea yuma, with a cool grey palette and soft bubble tentacles that shimmer like dew in moonlight. This 5-head colony offers gentle movement, visual texture, and rare tonal subtlety — ideal for aquascapes built on contrast and calm aesthetics.
More than just a collector’s mushroom, this piece is both peaceful and eye-catching, blending seamlessly into mixed reefs or minimalist layouts.
🍽️ Care & Feeding
Primarily photosynthetic, but benefits from occasional target feeding. Offer microplankton, coral dust, or liquid amino blends 1–2 times per week to support growth and inflation.
Avoid high flow or sharp rock edges. Ricordea prefer gentle current that allows their bubbles to remain inflated and sway softly. Secure placement is key to avoid drifting.
📈 Optimal Parameters
-
Alkalinity (dKH): 8–11
-
Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm
-
Magnesium (Mg): 1250–1350 ppm
-
Nitrate (NO₃): 2–10 ppm
-
Phosphate (PO₄): 0.01–0.05 ppm
📍 Placement
Best positioned on flat rockwork or sheltered sand patches in low to moderate light zones. Ideal under blue-dominant LEDs which will enhance the pearlescent bubbles and silvery hues. Allow space between colonies if mixing with other Ricordea or soft corals.
