🧬 Overview
The Acropora sp. “Volcano Cone” is a highly distinctive SPS collector coral recognised for its unusual volcanic-style branching structure and rich brown-purple coloration. This rare morph develops thick upright branches with pronounced corallites that create remarkable depth and texture within SPS reef aquariums.

Under heavy blue-spectrum reef lighting, the coral displays glowing violet and deep magenta highlights layered over its darker volcanic base coloration. In balanced daylight systems, warmer bronze, cocoa and metallic purple tones emerge, producing a dramatic earthy collector aesthetic rarely seen in modern SPS displays.

As the colony matures, it develops dense branching growth, strong encrusting potential and heavily textured corallites that give the coral a rugged premium appearance under turbulent flow. In mature stable reef systems with strong lighting and high random flow, Volcano Cone rewards reef keepers with rapid growth, exceptional structure and rare collector-grade reef presence.

🧾 WYSIWYG Information
You will receive the exact coral shown in the photographs.

Selected for:
• Rare brown and purple collector coloration
• Unique volcanic cone branch formation
• Rich textured SPS appearance
• Exceptional reef display contrast
• Strong growth and encrusting potential

🍽️ Care & Feeding

Recommended:
• Amino acid supplementation
• Fine particulate SPS foods
• Stable nitrate and phosphate availability
• Strong turbulent random flow
• Mature reef systems with stable alkalinity

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter | Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) | 7.5–8.3
Calcium (Ca) | 400–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) | 1250–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) | 2–10 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) | 0.02–0.08 ppm

📍 Placement
Place in the upper regions of the aquarium under strong stable lighting and powerful random flow to maximise coloration, structural development and textured branch growth.
