Overview

The 24K Gold Torch Coral is the ultimate in reef luxury. Its golden-yellow tentacles shimmer under reef lighting with an almost molten radiance, earning its name from the rich, 24-karat hue it displays. Highly prized among Euphyllia enthusiasts, this coral is not just beautiful—it’s a living treasure.

Ideal as a centrepiece or a high-impact accent in both minimalist and mixed reef systems, the 24K Torch offers a striking display of elegance and energy.

Care & Feeding

Like all Euphyllia glabrescens, the 24K Torch is photosynthetic but thrives with occasional feeding. Offer small meaty foods, enriched planktonic blends, or powdered coral diets like reef roids to encourage faster growth and deeper pigmentation.

Give it space—its long sweeping tentacles can sting neighbouring corals and will require a defensive buffer zone.

Optimal Parameters

  • Alkalinity (dKH): 8–11

  • Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm

  • Magnesium (Mg): 1300–1400 ppm

  • Nitrate (NO₃): 2–10 ppm

  • Phosphate (POâ‚„): 0.01–0.05 ppm

Placement

Place this coral in the lower to middle section of the tank where it can enjoy steady, non-laminar flow and benefit from intense but indirect lighting. Avoid placing it too close to other corals—especially those with soft tissue—as its sweepers are strong and territorial.

💎🔥 A Torch Worth Its Weight in Gold

With its molten glow and flowing, golden tentacles, the 24K Gold Torch is a standout addition to any reef. This is more than a coral—it’s a symbol of reef sophistication and collector-level aesthetics.
