Overview

The Solar Inferno Symphyllia is a rare and ultra-bright morph of Symphyllia wilsoni, showcasing a vivid toxic yellow base interlaced with bold red ridges — a true collector’s piece for reefers who want standout colour and structure in one coral.

Each polyp forms thick, fleshy folds that shimmer with iridescent highlights, making it a luminous centrepiece even under subdued lighting conditions.

Care & Feeding

Though relatively forgiving, this coral thrives best in stable, nutrient-balanced systems. While primarily photosynthetic, it benefits from supplemental feedings with small meaty foods like mysis or reef-boosting blends once or twice a week.

Avoid direct jets and allow for calm but active water movement.

Optimal Parameters

  • Alkalinity (dKH): 8–11

  • Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm

  • Magnesium (Mg): 1250–1350 ppm

  • Nitrate (NO₃): 2–10 ppm

  • Phosphate (POâ‚„): 0.01–0.05 ppm

Placement

Best suited to open sandbeds or lower-tier rock ledges where its colours can radiate and its tissue won’t risk abrasion. Ensure good spacing from aggressive neighbours.
