Overview
The Orange Eye Green & Blue Mycedium is a striking encrusting coral featuring a vibrant fluorescent green base, electric blue highlights and vivid orange eyes. Under actinic lighting, its colours become exceptionally intense, making it a standout addition to any reef aquarium.
This listing is for a frag similar to the photo, grown and propagated at FreakinCorals from a healthy, aquacultured mother colony. Each frag is unique in shape, size and colour intensity while maintaining the characteristic appearance of this beautiful Mycedium.
Care & Feeding
Mycedium corals are photosynthetic but benefit from occasional target feeding with small particulate foods such as Reef Roids, Coral Frenzy or finely minced meaty foods. Feeding after lights out can encourage faster growth and improved colouration.
Optimal Parameters
Alkalinity (dKH): 8–11
Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm
Magnesium (Mg): 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃): 2–10 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄): 0.01–0.05 ppm
Placement
Best placed on the bottom or middle areas of the aquarium under low to moderate lighting with gentle to moderate, indirect water flow. Allow adequate spacing from neighbouring corals, as Mycedium can extend sweeper tentacles at night.
💚🧡 Aquacultured at FreakinCorals, this vibrant Orange Eye Green & Blue Mycedium combines exceptional fluorescence, excellent hardiness and sustainable propagation, making it an outstanding choice for both collectors and reef enthusiasts.
