🧬 Overview
The Meteor Shower Cyphastrea is a highly sought-after encrusting LPS that delivers both colour and texture to any reef aquarium. Its brilliant blue base serves as a perfect backdrop for the scattered red-orange polyps, resembling glowing meteors streaking across a night sky. Hardy and adaptable, it will encrust rockwork, frag plugs, or even overflow boxes, making it a versatile choice for aquascaping.

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Cyphastrea corals are predominantly photosynthetic but will respond well to occasional feeding. Once or twice per week, target-feed with fine particulate foods such as reef roids, rotifers, or finely chopped frozen plankton to encourage growth and colour vibrancy.
They are peaceful and safe to place near most other corals, as they lack aggressive sweeper tentacles.

📈 Optimal Parameters

  • Alkalinity (dKH): 8–11

  • Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm

  • Magnesium (Mg): 1250–1350 ppm

  • Nitrate (NO₃): 2–10 ppm

  • Phosphate (PO₄): 0.01–0.05 ppm

📍 Placement
Best placed in lower or shaded areas of the tank to preserve its intense blue base and prevent bleaching. Can encrust vertical or horizontal surfaces, adding depth and natural coverage to the reef structure.
