Care & Feeding

Chalice corals are photosynthetic but benefit from occasional target feeding with small particulate foods such as Reef Roids, Coral Frenzy or finely minced meaty foods. Feeding after lights out, when feeder tentacles are extended, promotes faster growth and enhanced colour development.

Placement

Best placed on the bottom of the aquarium under low to moderate lighting and gentle, indirect water flow. Chalices generally prefer lower light than SPS corals and should be given adequate space from neighbouring corals due to their sweeper tentacles.
