🧬 Overview
The Frog Skin Shine Acropora is a particularly bright selection of the classic Frog Skin type, combining its characteristic rugged, heavily textured surface with exceptionally vivid green fluorescence.

Frog Skin Acropora are known for stocky branching growth and prominent rounded corallites that create their distinctive bumpy appearance. Mature colonies can develop a substantial, compact branching structure, making them very different visually from finer-branched Acropora varieties.

This “Shine” selection was chosen specifically for its brightness. Under blue-spectrum lighting, the lime and fluorescent green pigments become extremely vivid, while balanced white lighting reveals additional emerald, yellow-green and deeper green tones.

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Frog Skin Acropora performs best in a mature SPS aquarium with strong lighting, stable water chemistry and powerful random flow. Medium-high to high lighting and moderate-strong water movement are characteristic recommendations for this coral.

It is primarily photosynthetic, although amino acids and fine particulate SPS foods can be offered occasionally. Stable alkalinity and consistent measurable nutrients are particularly important for maintaining its intense green coloration.

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) 7.5–8.5
Calcium (Ca) 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) 2–10 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) 0.03–0.08 ppm

📍 Placement
Place in the middle to upper areas of the reef with strong, multidirectional turbulent flow. Approximately 250–400 PAR is an appropriate target once properly acclimated. Avoid suddenly exposing a newly introduced frag to maximum light intensity.
