The Acropora “Red Diablo” is a striking smooth-skin style Acropora featuring thin coralites and a sleek branching structure. This type of Acropora develops elegant branches with subtle surface texture, giving the coral a refined and almost sculptural appearance compared to more heavily textured SPS species.
Its deep crimson pigmentation produces a powerful warm-spectrum highlight within reef aquascapes, especially when placed among cooler-coloured SPS such as blues and greens. As the colony grows, the branches develop tighter clusters and glowing growth tips that enhance the coral’s fiery red appearance.
This coral is particularly prized for its clean structure and strong monochromatic red coloration, making it an excellent centerpiece coral in high-end SPS systems.
