The Solar Edge Chalice is a beautiful collector's colour morph, combining a rich golden base with a contrasting fluorescent lime green rim.

This unique colour combination gives the coral a glowing, sunlit appearance, making it a standout addition to any reef aquarium.

Its plating and encrusting growth form allows it to gradually spread over rockwork, developing beautiful layers and expanding its vibrant green edges.

Our CUT TO ORDER option allows you to acquire a freshly cut fragment directly from our carefully maintained mother colony.

Each frag is individually selected and cut after your order is placed, giving you the opportunity to grow your own Solar Edge Chalice from a smaller piece into an impressive colony.

🍽️ Feeding & Care

Although photosynthetic, Chalice corals can benefit from occasional targeted feeding to support healthy growth and tissue development.

Recommended feeding 1–2× weekly:

• Mysis shrimp or finely chopped seafood

• Reef Roids or powdered coral foods

• Small coral pellets

• Target feeding with reduced flow

Allow freshly cut fragments to recover and show a normal feeding response before introducing targeted feeding.

Avoid direct high flow and excessive lighting, particularly during the initial acclimation period.

📍 Placement

Position your Solar Edge Chalice frag in the lower to mid areas of the aquascape, where moderate shade and gentle, indirect water movement allow it to settle and grow naturally.

Start with lower lighting after introduction and gradually acclimate the coral to its final position.

Allow sufficient space from neighbouring corals, as Chalices can extend sweeper tentacles and may damage nearby specimens.

Under actinic lighting, the lime green border fluoresces vividly against the golden body, creating a spectacular glowing edge.
