🧬 Overview
The Inferno Heart Trachyphyllia is a premium large polyp stony (LPS) coral known for its vibrant red-and-green colour fusion and fleshy, inflated appearance. Its distinctive colour contrast makes it a natural centerpiece for reef displays. Native to Indonesia, this coral thrives when given space and stable conditions, rewarding aquarists with mesmerizing glow and movement.

🍽️ Feeding & Care
Although photosynthetic, Trachyphyllia benefit greatly from 2–3 weekly target feedings of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, enriched brine, or finely chopped seafood. Feeding promotes tissue expansion, bright coloration, and steady growth. Avoid placing near aggressive corals.

📈 Optimal Parameters

  • Alkalinity (dKH): 8–12

  • Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm

  • Magnesium (Mg): 1250–1350 ppm

  • Nitrate (NO₃): 2–10 ppm

  • Phosphate (PO₄): 0.02–0.08 ppm

📍 Placement
Best placed on the sand bed or stable areas of the lower reef with gentle flow. Allow space around the colony to avoid tissue damage. Under blue spectrum lighting, the green fluoresces brilliantly against the deep red base, creating a dramatic "inferno heart" effect.
