💚🧪🪸 Euphyllia glabrescens “Flubber Reactor”
Cut to Order – Super Green Flubber Torch
🔹 Quick Stats
Care Level: Moderate to Advanced
Temperament: Semi-aggressive (sweeper tentacles – allow spacing)
Colour Form: The Flubber Reactor Torch displays extremely vibrant toxic-green tentacles with bright neon highlights and luminous glowing tips. Under actinic lighting the coral explodes with intense fluorescent green that appears almost radioactive. Under balanced white lighting the coral reveals rich shades of lime-green, electric emerald and glowing chartreuse that create a striking and energetic colour profile.
Water Conditions: 24–26 °C, dKH 7.5–8.5, pH 8.0–8.4, sg 1.024–1.026
Family: Euphylliidae
Lighting: Moderate (PAR 120–200)
Water Flow: Moderate, indirect flow
Placement: Mid to lower reef zones
Type: Cut to Order Frag
🧬 Overview
The Euphyllia glabrescens “Flubber Reactor” is a stunning torch coral known for its extreme fluorescent green coloration and long flowing tentacles. The intense neon-green pigmentation gives the coral its famous “flubber” look, glowing vividly under reef LED lighting.
Torch corals are highly prized for their elegant flowing movement, and this morph stands out thanks to its powerful green fluorescence and high visibility in reef aquascapes.
This coral is offered as a cut-to-order frag, taken from a healthy and established mother colony showing strong colour and polyp extension. Once settled, the frag will grow and can eventually develop into a multi-head colony under stable reef conditions.
Under modern reef lighting the coral becomes incredibly luminous, creating a bright focal point in LPS or mixed reef aquariums.
Cut to Order:
This coral will be freshly cut from the mother colony after purchase. Please allow time for safe preparation and healing before shipping.
Selected for:
• Extreme toxic-green fluorescence
• Long flowing torch tentacles
• Healthy frags from established mother colony
• Strong growth potential
• Bright collector Euphyllia morph
🍽️ Care & Feeding
Torch corals benefit from occasional feeding and stable reef conditions.
Recommended feeding 1–2× weekly:
• Mysis shrimp
• Finely chopped seafood
• Reef roids or powdered coral foods
• Broadcast feeding in mature reef systems
📈 Optimal Parameters
Parameter | Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) | 7.5–8.5
Calcium (Ca) | 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) | 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) | 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) | 0.03–0.10 ppm
📍 Placement
Place in moderate lighting and gentle indirect flow where the tentacles can move freely. Avoid strong direct flow which may stress the coral.
Allow adequate spacing between neighbouring corals as Euphyllia species can extend long sweeper tentacles.
