🧬 Overview
The Acanthastrea bowerbanki “Red Titan” is a powerful LPS coral known for its strong monochromatic red palette and massive fleshy polyps. Unlike multi-colour morphs, this coral stands out for its intense saturated red coloration with darker red grading, creating a bold and dramatic presence in the reef aquarium.
Bowerbanki corals are prized for their large fleshy discs and thick tissue, giving them a very different appearance from Acan Lords. When fully expanded, the coral develops wide rounded polyps that display the colour gradients beautifully across the coral surface.
Under reef LED lighting the deep reds develop a glowing ruby tone while the darker grading creates strong depth and texture across the coral tissue.
As the colony grows, new polyps develop around the base forming a large and impressive fleshy LPS colony.

📍 Placement
