🧬 Overview
The Acanthastrea bowerbanki “Lagoon Colossus” is an impressive XL colony showcasing the beautiful cool-toned mix of blue and green pigmentation typical of premium Bowerbanki specimens. Known for their massive fleshy polyps and thick tissue, Bowerbanki corals develop a bold and commanding presence in reef aquariums.
This specimen features large expanded polyps displaying glowing emerald-green tones contrasted by deeper ocean-blue shading. Under reef LED lighting the fluorescent pigments become extremely vivid, creating a striking lagoon-like colour palette.
Because this is an XL established colony, it already forms a dense cluster of large fleshy polyps that give the coral a powerful centerpiece presence in the aquarium.
As the coral continues to grow, additional polyps will develop around the edges, gradually forming an even larger fleshy LPS structure.
