Overview
The Rapunzel Torch is a rare and elegant morph of Euphyllia glabrescens, named for its long, flowing tentacles that resemble cascading golden-green hair under reef lighting. Its movement in the water current is mesmerising, and the delicate colour palette adds an ethereal quality to any aquascape.
This torch coral is highly sought after by reefers who appreciate a more refined and graceful look compared to the bold, high-contrast torches. A true gem in both minimalist and heavily stocked reef systems.
Care & Feeding
The Rapunzel Torch requires stable tank parameters, moderate lighting, and medium non-direct flow for best polyp extension and health. While it is photosynthetic, occasional feeding with coral-specific foods such as reef roids, Mysis, or planktonic blends will enhance its growth and vitality.
Keep a generous distance from other corals, as its long sweeper tentacles can sting nearby specimens.
Optimal Parameters
-
Alkalinity (dKH): 8–11
-
Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm
-
Magnesium (Mg): 1300–1400 ppm
-
Nitrate (NO₃): 2–10 ppm

Phosphate (PO₄): 0.01–0.05 ppm
Placement
Best placed at the bottom to mid-level of your reef tank where it can receive moderate light and a gentle, swaying water current. Avoid placing it near aggressive neighbours and ensure it has ample room to extend its flowing polyps.
👑✨🌿 Elegance in Motion
The Rapunzel Torch isn’t just a coral—it’s underwater poetry. With graceful, trailing tentacles and soft luminous tones, it brings an element of fantasy and sophistication to your reef.
