Overview
The Sunflare Crown Trachy is a dazzling ultra-color morph of Trachyphyllia geoffroyi, featuring a rich ruby-red base etched with luminous yellow stripes that radiate from its fleshy center. It resembles a fiery jewel, glowing with intensity even under subtle lighting.
With its peaceful nature and slow pulsing motion, this coral makes a dramatic centerpiece — ideal for both seasoned reefers and those building a bold color statement in a mixed reef.
Care & Feeding
Hardy and adaptable, Trachyphyllia thrive with stable parameters and low stress. While largely photosynthetic, this coral benefits greatly from occasional feedings of small, meaty foods like mysis, brine shrimp, or reef nutrition blends. Feeding at night or when tentacles are visible can improve inflation and vibrancy.
Avoid direct flow and strong lighting, which may cause tissue retraction.
Optimal Parameters
-
Alkalinity (dKH): 8–11
-
Calcium (Ca): 420–460 ppm
-
Magnesium (Mg): 1250–1350 ppm
-
