🧬 Overview
The Salted Agave Zoanthus is a highly recognizable collector zoanthid prized for its unusual combination of pink-red, creamy white and green coloration.
Each polyp develops an intricate pattern that gives the colony a particularly striking appearance, with individual polyps naturally showing slight variations in colour distribution and intensity.
Under blue-heavy reef lighting, the contrasting pigments become especially vivid, making Salted Agave an excellent choice for zoanthid gardens and colourful mixed reefs.
Once established under stable conditions, Zoanthus can gradually spread across the surrounding rockwork, developing into an impressive multi-polyp colony.

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Salted Agave Zoanthus is primarily photosynthetic and generally requires little direct feeding. Occasional fine particulate coral foods may support growth, but stable water parameters, moderate flow and suitable lighting are the main requirements.
Avoid placing the colony where detritus can continuously accumulate between the polyps.

📍 Placement
Place in the lower to middle areas of the reef with moderate, indirect water movement. Start under lower light and gradually acclimate if moving the frag into stronger illumination.

Zoanthids may contain palytoxin or related compounds. Avoid contact with eyes or mouth, wear gloves and eye protection when cutting or handling damaged polyps, and never expose them to boiling or very hot water.
