Care & Feeding

Favia corals are photosynthetic but benefit from occasional target feeding with small particulate foods such as Reef Roids, Coral Frenzy or finely minced meaty foods. Feeding after lights out, when feeder tentacles are extended, can promote faster growth, stronger coloration and healthier tissue development.

Placement

Best placed on the bottom or middle areas of the aquarium under low to moderate lighting and gentle to moderate water flow. Allow adequate space around the colony, as Favia corals can extend sweeper tentacles during the night.
