🧬 Overview
The Clavularia “Papaya” is a spectacular soft coral selected for its intense orange coloration and characteristic flowing movement. Each delicate polyp opens into a star-like shape, and together they create a constantly moving field of fluorescent papaya-orange.

This particular specimen is an established colony rather than a small frag, providing considerably greater polyp density, immediate coverage and visual impact from the moment it enters the aquarium.

Under actinic lighting, the orange coloration becomes especially intense, while moderate random flow keeps the numerous polyps moving naturally throughout the day.

Papaya Clavularia is also relatively easy to maintain and can spread across surrounding rockwork once established. For this reason, it is an excellent coral for creating bright soft-coral gardens or isolated islands of colour and movement.

🧾 WYSIWYG – Established Colony
You will receive the exact colony shown, individually selected for its size, coloration, density and healthy polyp extension.

Selected for:
• Established multi-polyp colony
• Intense papaya-orange coloration
• Strong fluorescence under actinic lighting
• Dense polyp coverage
• Beautiful natural movement
• Immediate visual impact
• Easy and adaptable soft coral
• Excellent potential to continue spreading

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Papaya Clavularia is primarily photosynthetic and generally does not require direct feeding.

It can nevertheless benefit from occasional broadcast feeding with fine particulate coral foods, phytoplankton or other micro-sized foods. Maintaining moderate nutrients and good water movement also helps support healthy growth and polyp extension.

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) 7.5–9.0
Calcium (Ca) 400–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) 1250–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) 0.03–0.10 ppm

📍 Placement
Place in the lower to middle areas of the reef with moderate, preferably indirect water movement. Good circulation helps keep debris from accumulating around the stolon while creating the characteristic swaying movement of the colony.

Because Clavularia can progressively spread across connected rockwork, consider placing the colony on an isolated rock or dedicated soft-coral island if you want to control its future growth.
