WYSIWYG Specimen – Three Acropora on One Plug

🔹 Quick Stats
Care Level: Advanced
Temperament: Peaceful (requires spacing from neighbouring SPS colonies)
Colour Form: This unique WYSIWYG piece features three individual Acropora colonies growing on the same frag plug, each displaying its own colour tones and growth structure. Under actinic lighting the corals reveal vibrant fluorescence across the branches and growth tips, while under balanced white lighting subtle variations of greens, blues, creams or warm tones become more visible across the colony structures.
Water Conditions: 24–26 °C, dKH 7.5–8.5, pH 8.0–8.4, sg 1.024–1.026
Family: Acroporidae
Lighting: High (PAR 250–350)
Water Flow: Strong and turbulent
Placement: Upper rockwork or high-energy reef zones
Type: WYSIWYG

🧬 Overview
The Acropora “Triple Colony” WYSIWYG is a rare and interesting specimen featuring three separate Acropora frags growing together on a single plug. This type of coral piece offers a unique opportunity to grow multiple SPS colonies simultaneously from the same base.

Each frag develops its own branching pattern and coloration, creating a natural mini reef cluster effect as the colonies mature. Over time, the three corals can grow into a dense and visually striking structure, adding complexity and dimension to SPS-dominated reef aquascapes.

Reef keepers may choose to allow the colonies to grow together naturally or carefully separate them in the future as they mature.

WYSIWYG:
You will receive the exact coral shown in the photo. Each specimen is individually photographed and selected for colour, structure and coral health.

Selected for:
• Three individual Acropora frags on one plug
• Healthy tissue and visible growth tips
• Strong potential for colony development
• Unique multi-colony display piece
• Excellent addition for SPS reef systems

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Like most Acropora species, these corals rely primarily on photosynthesis but benefit from stable nutrient levels and occasional feeding.

Recommended feeding 1–2× weekly:
• Fine plankton blends or powdered coral foods
• Amino acid supplements for SPS systems
• Broadcast feeding in mature reef aquariums

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter | Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) | 7.5–8.5
Calcium (Ca) | 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) | 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) | 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) | 0.03–0.10 ppm

📍 Placement
Place in the upper aquascape where strong lighting and turbulent water flow are present. Adequate spacing will allow each coral to develop its natural branching structure without competition.

As the colonies grow, the piece can evolve into a dense multi-branch SPS cluster that adds depth and movement to the reef structure.
