🧬 Overview
The Acanthastrea lordhowensis “Twin Spectrum” is a unique Australian Acan Lord piece featuring two different colour morphs on the same frag. One polyp presents the classic high-contrast red-and-white pattern, while the second polyp shows a vibrant rainbow coloration.

This combination creates a visually interesting and collectible coral, offering the potential for the colony to develop into a mixed-colour Acan cluster as new polyps grow and spread.

Under reef LED lighting the rainbow polyp reveals vivid fluorescence while the red-and-white polyp provides a strong visual contrast, making the coral stand out despite its compact size.

WYSIWYG:
You will receive the exact coral shown in the photo. Each specimen is individually photographed and selected for colour intensity, polyp structure and coral health.

Selected for:
• One red-and-white polyp
• One rainbow polyp
• Thick fleshy Australian Acan tissue
• Strong fluorescence under reef LED lighting
• Unique mixed-morph collector piece

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Acanthastrea corals benefit from regular feeding and nutrient-balanced reef environments.

Recommended feeding 1–2× weekly:
• Mysis shrimp
• Finely chopped seafood
• LPS pellets or coral foods
• Target feeding during evening polyp expansion

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter | Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) | 7.5–8.5
Calcium (Ca) | 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) | 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) | 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) | 0.03–0.10 ppm

📍 Placement
Place on the lower rockwork or sand bed where lighting is moderate and water flow is gentle. Provide enough space around the coral as Acan Lords can extend short feeding tentacles during feeding periods.

Avoid placing the coral too close to aggressive LPS species.
