🧬 Overview
The Discosoma “Toxic Sun” is a stunning mushroom coral known for its extreme fluorescent yellow coloration and soft fleshy texture. Discosoma mushrooms are highly appreciated for their vibrant colours, hardiness and ability to adapt to a wide range of reef conditions.

This specimen displays a powerful toxic-yellow glow that becomes especially intense under reef LED lighting. The smooth fleshy disc expands beautifully in low-flow environments, creating a bright focal point in shaded areas of the aquarium.

Discosoma corals can slowly multiply by natural division, gradually forming colourful mushroom clusters across the rockwork.

WYSIWYG:
You will receive the exact coral shown in the photo, selected for colour intensity and healthy expansion.

Selected for:
• Extreme toxic-yellow fluorescence
• Thick fleshy mushroom disc
• Excellent hardiness and adaptability
• Strong glow under reef LED lighting
• Great coral for lower light reef zones

🍽️ Care & Feeding
Discosoma mushrooms rely primarily on photosynthesis but can benefit from occasional feeding.

Recommended feeding occasionally:
• Fine coral foods
• Reef roids or powdered plankton
• Broadcast feeding in mature reef systems

📈 Optimal Parameters

Parameter | Ideal Range
Alkalinity (dKH) | 7.5–8.5
Calcium (Ca) | 420–450 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) | 1300–1400 ppm
Nitrate (NO₃) | 5–15 ppm
Phosphate (PO₄) | 0.03–0.10 ppm

📍 Placement
Place on lower rockwork or shaded areas where lighting is gentle and water flow is minimal. Mushrooms prefer calm areas where the fleshy disc can fully expand.

Avoid placing near aggressive corals that may sting the tissue.
