🧬 Overview
This Euphyllia yaeyamaensis “Ice Blue Tip” is an impressive XL colony combining an intensely fluorescent green body with hundreds of contrasting pale blue to ice-blue tips.
Its exceptionally dense polyp structure gives the colony a full, almost carpet-like appearance when completely expanded. Unlike the longer flowing tentacles of Torch corals, E. yaeyamaensis develops a much more compact and densely packed appearance, creating an impressive mass of colour and texture.
Under blue spectrum lighting, the green tissue becomes intensely fluorescent while the cooler blue tips remain clearly defined across the entire colony. The result is a beautiful green-and-ice-blue contrast, with the huge number of individual tips producing an almost frosted appearance.
As a Size XL specimen, this is already a substantial and mature-looking colony with serious visual presence, making it particularly suitable as a feature LPS for a larger reef display.

This coral obtains much of its energy through photosynthesis but benefits from occasional supplemental feeding.
Recommended feeding occasionally:
• Mysis shrimp or finely chopped meaty foods
