🧬 Overview
The Acropora gomesi “Skyfire Tips” is a beautiful Indonesian SPS coral prized for its cool blue base and glowing yellow growth tips. A. gomesi typically develops elegant branching colonies with strong axial tips and excellent polyp extension in stable reef systems.
The contrast between the soft blue tissue and bright yellow tips gives this coral a luminous appearance under reef lighting. As the colony grows, the yellow tips intensify and highlight the branch ends, creating a dynamic crown-like structure that stands out strongly among other SPS.
This colour combination makes it an excellent centerpiece coral in SPS-dominant aquariums, particularly when placed among deeper blues, purples and greens.
